    Web Engineer

    Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Web Developer will work on-site in San Jose, CA., developing our next application. You will need an excellent command of all facets of front-end web development, are a problem-solving whiz, have notable organizational skills, and above all, are detail-oriented. You will have strong interpersonal skills, working independently and as part of a team, on top of excellent written communication skills. An ability to discern when to follow strategy and when to propose fresh creative solutions is golden.

    Requirements:

    • Experience with building the complex web applications and scalable GUIs.
    • Experience with MySQL and complex SQL development.
    • A strong familiarity with Web 2.0, social networking, and consumer Internet
    • Strong LAMP experience/environment.
    • Excellent PHP, JavaScript (Ajax), HTML, and CSS skills. 
    • Strong cross-browser development experience.
    • JAVA development experiences a plus.
    • A good understanding of design principles that promote effective marketing. 
    • Excellent project management skills with a strong attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
    • Fun, entrepreneurial spirit.

    Analytics Manager

    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Analytics Manager is a key focal point of business and financial analytics and reporting, and is the first point of contact for inquiries about coupon related activity from customers, the sales organization, marketing and the senior staff. You will be responsible for data analysis and reporting, including but not limited to:

    • Monthly reporting to customers and distribution channels
    • Marketing analysis
    • Financial analysis, including reports supporting the financial statements and reports to the Board of Directors
    • Custom reports

    Fields of analysis will include, but not be limited to:

    • User (consumer) behavior
    • Store behavior
    • Offer behavior
    • Affiliate and channel behavior
    • Other network and couponing behavior.

    Customer-related duties include preparation of custom analysis, recommendations and presentation materials related to customer performance, development of key sales metrics and predictive tools to assist in Cellfire’s sales process, and preparation of regular internal analysis for sales and the management team. Marketing related duties include developing tools and analyses to understand and optimize Cellfire’s user acquisition channels, analysis of overall user life cycles and to provide insight to drive product and program improvements by identifying user engagement flows and patterns, and tacking marketing engagement opportunities for effectiveness. Financial related duties include preparation of the monthly key metrics report for the CEO, participation in the financial close process, including preparation of affiliate and channel costs.  You would also be responsible to work with engineering to develop new reports based on the evolving business needs of the Company, and to interact with senior management and other functional areas.

    Requirements:

    You must have a passion for making a difference in an early stage unstructured environment, and a willingness to go beyond the call of duty to make that difference, an attitude of “can do”. You must have an ability to communicate well, both to colleagues and to senior management, both orally and in writing.  While you do not tolerate mediocrity well, and want an assurance that the underlying data is sound, you also know how to get what you require in a tactful and diplomatic fashion. As mentioned, you have superior communication skills. You also have an MBA, most likely in Finance or Marketing, and possibly an undergraduate degree in a quantitative subject, such as mathematics, statistic, or economics, and several years of prior experience in business intelligence or other analytical field. Background in consumer packaged goods would be a plus and experience in an advertising network company would be an additional bonus. 

    You must also have experience and a high degree of  proficiency with Excel modeling, presenting findings through PowerPoint, use of reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, experience with SQL and ability to write SQL queries and with analyzing IRI/ACNielsen data. Superior English language skills are a requirement.
